THE
ARTIST

and mental health advocate!

I’ve been making art for as long as I can remember — but it wasn’t until adulthood that I realized it had always been my therapy. My labile journey through mental health, both personally and professionally has shaped my passion to help others. I’ve worked on the front lines for over a decade and as I currently train to become a Registered Psychotherapist & Art Therapist- everywhere I go, I practice empathy. ART is where I first learned to empathize...self-empathy.

As a child, I admired my mother's painting. Watching her focus and dedication was mesmerizing. In late adulthood, I met my biological grandmother. It was clear she gifted me her creative talents, her strongest being poetry and writing. I was honored to have spent some time with her and connect on a creative level.

Recent progression in my artistry can be attributed to many external inspirations such as other artists or authors. But, the biggest game-changers have been SHADOW WORK, EMBRACING IMPERFECTION and learning how to PLAY again. PROCESS over PRODUCT. Lean into the mess.

The vision is true and full------> to give back to others in the best and most authentic way I know how. All fueled by the memories of others who gave support to me, when i needed it most- you know who you are!

Get Bent Art isn’t just about art — It's about giving others the tools to repaint their canvas. It's about extending a guiding hand for those who inevitably get lost along the way. It's about healing in a way that's unique to self and others.

BE BOLD. BE CURIOUS. BE WEIRD. GET BENT.
